The RTA will be unveiling a MAJOR public safety initiative at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9th. Community members are invited to participate in sign waiving, T-shirt, gifts and collateral give away at 4 key areas along the streetcar lines. In Mid-City the event will be held in front of the RTA Building at 2800 Black of Canal Street location in Mid-City. All participants will receive RTA’s new Tracks Can Kill T-shirt. We will also provide documentation for college students who may need community service hours.
NEW ORLEANS, LA (March 7, 2012) – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will be unveiling a major public safety initiative at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012.
WHO: The RTA, Veolia Transportation, Mid-City Neighborhood Association, St. Charles Avenue Association, Downtown Neighborhoods Improvement Association, Carrollton/Riverbend Neighborhood Association, Elected Officials, Business Owners, Tulane and Loyola University Students, and Community Organizations
