The NOLA Wise Neighborhood Energy Challenge deadline has been extended to April 19th and we need your help for the win.
The Challenge: the neighborhood with the most households or businesses to complete a Home Performance Evaluation (a $35 investment) by April 19th will receive a grant for a community project. Mid-City is pitted against Hollygrove neighborhood.
The Community Project: If we win, the Mid-City Volleyball Group will receive the money it needs to build a sand volleyball facility in Mid-City near the Lafitte Greenway.
We are in the final weeks and a few additional credits will push us over the edge, so call to schedule your appointment this week. The cost of the HPE is only $35.00, and people who register for an HPE will not only learn ways to save money in the long run by making their homes and businesses more energy efficient, but they will be supporting the community project to build a modest sand volleyball facility in Mid-City on or near the Lafitte Greenway.
The Home Performance Evaluation does not obligate you to do any of the recommended work, but it does introduce you to certified contractors who can perform the work if and when you chose.
Also, in case you are not already aware, points for your neighborhood can be achieved by a referral mentioning Mid-City–they do NOT have to live within our neighborhood boundaries. People simply need to tell NOLAWISE they are calling/submitting online with the neighborhood challenge and specify the neighborhood they are supporting. Schedule your appointment today!
