Mid-City Art Market will hold its monthly market Saturday, March 31 in Palmer Park(corner of Carrollton and Claiborne) from 10am-4pm. The market showcases local and regional artists selling painting, jewelry, pottery, glass, photography, sculpture, textiles and accessories. Support local and buy local. Admission is free.
The market is pleased to welcome the Young Leadership Council to this month’s market. They will be selling their “Proud to Call It Home” merchandise and informing the public about the work in the community. They will also host the Children’s Art Activity Tent where youngsters can create their own masterpieces.
The Desoto Street Band, www.desotostreetband.com, will entertain with their clever and eclectic repertoir. They’re performing from noon to 3pm.
New food vendors include Crepes a la Carte and Fuel Coffee Shop as well as Juan’s Flying Burrito. Have lunch while you stroll the oaks and find that perfect piece for which you’ve searched.
In the event of a washout, the market will have a rain date of Sunday, April 1st, no fooling.
