Dear Mid City Neighborhood Member,
We would like to inform you of an exciting opportunity to participate in a Public Health Focus Group.
The purpose of this focus group is to gain a better understanding of your health needs, any barriers you experience in accessing healthcare, the quality of the current healthcare services you do access and ways in which the NOAIDS Taskforce can provide you with high quality healthcare that meets your expectations. The focus group setting will allow you to have an in-depth conversation with a small group of participants (8-12) in order for you to share your “healthcare story”. The information you share will remain anonymous and will be used strictly for the purpose of the health needs assessment. NOAIDS Taskforce is using this needs assessment as part of an application to create a new Community Health Center which will be tailored to the health needs of the community.
We are currently recruiting 8-12 community members in the Mid City neighborhood to participate in a focus group. We expect the focus groups to take approximately 1.5 hours and you will be reimbursed $20 (Wal-Mart Gift Card) for your participation. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Please confirm with us if you are able to attend (see below for tentative neighborhood focus group schedules). If you are unable to attend the currently scheduled focus group but would possibly be able to attend an alternate time/date then please advise us of what time/date would be ideal. If you have a friend or neighbor (living in Mid City, Treme, Seventh Ward, French Quarter, Marigny or Bywater neighborhoods) that you feel would be interested in attending one of the focus group then please feel free to forward this email to them.
