For years MCNO has worked to secure funding and support to upgrade our local parks and playgrounds. As of September 2010, MCNO was approved through KaBOOM! to receive support and grant money to make our dream of building a playground at Easton Park a reality.
The playground will be a great addition to one of Mid-City’s many parks and will serve an area that otherwise lacks playgrounds for Mid-City’s school-aged kids. Our Design Day will take place on September 28, 2010 and our Build Day will take place on November 20, 2010. MCNO invites all area residents, businesses, and families to participate in the design and construction phases of the project. Please consider donating your time to this worthy cause and joining our project.
In addition to volunteers, MCNO is also seeking financial support for the project. Although MCNO has secured the majority of the necessary funding, we still need the community’s support to raise an additional $7,500.00. Please consider making a financial donation to support the playground build at Easton Park!
