GOOD Ideas for New Orleans Forum July 12

As part of GOOD Ideas for New Orleans, four teams of New Orleanians have been spending their time and energy grappling with some of our city’s thorniest challenges. These good souls are now in home stretch of devising projects that address issues ranging from bike safety and beautification to food access and food trucks.
In two weeks, we are throwing them a party at the New Orleans Museum of Art, and you are invited. To celebrate their work, we will occupy the dignified grounds of the museum with a crowd of great people, beer compliments of NOLA Brewing, and delicacies served from some of the city’s finest food trucks. The event will be held on Thursday evening, July 12th. We will open the doors at 6pm, and kick things off at 7pm. To attend, register here.
Each team will briefly present their project and the challenge posed to them almost two months ago.  Then, we’ll dive deeper into the issues, engaging the crowd in discussions with community leaders from Bike Easy and Transport for NOLAGrow Dat Youth Farm and Broad Community ConnectionsThe Creative Alliance of New Orleans, and the New Orleans Food Truck Coalition. The conversation will be moderated by GOOD editor Alissa Walker.
It’s going to be a lovely evening of good ideas and great people–a well-earned toast to collaboration done for the sake of the civic good. We’ll also be discussing how the projects of these dedicated volunteers can live on, and how we can continue to grow the conversation around these issues, and other pressing challenges facing our city.
Seating is limited, so register now, and spread the word!
