THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROVISIONS OF THE CPC ADMINISTRATIVE RULES, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES REGARDING STREET NAMES CHANGES, WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2020 FOLLOWING THE ZONING PUBLIC HEARING, ON THE FOLLOWING PROPOSED STREET NAME CHANGE.
The City Planning Commission does hereby certify that it may be unable to hold a commission meeting under regular quorum requirements due to Covid-19. On authority of the Governor under Section 2 of Proclamation Number JBE 2020-84, the next Commission meeting may be held via teleconference on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. All efforts will be made to provide for observation and input by members of the public.
Street Name Change 001/20: Consideration of renaming the entirety of South Jefferson Davis Parkway to South Doctor Norman Francis Parkway; to change the name of the divided, four-lane section of North Jefferson Davis Parkway, extending from Canal Street to Lafitte Avenue, to North Doctor Norman Francis Parkway; to change the name of the undivided, two-lane portion of North Jefferson Davis Parkway, extending from Lafitte Avenue to Orleans Avenue, to Moss Street.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS ADMINISTATIVE RULES, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES, WILL HEAR ALL PROPONENTS AND OPPONENTS TO THE ABOVE PROPOSED STREET NAME CHANGE. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AND ALL RELEVANT COMMENTS CONCERNING THE PROPOSED CHANGES ARE ENCOURAGED. YOU MAY ALSO SUBMIT WRITTEN COMMENTS TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IN ADVANCE BY MAIL (1300 PERDIDO STREET, SUITE 7W03, NEW ORLEANS, LA 70112, OR BY EMAIL TO CPCINFO@NOLA.GOV). ALL WRITTEN COMMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THE MONDAY EIGHT DAYS PRIOR TO THE HEARING DATE.
