Mid-City Plan
In 2006 hundreds of Mid-City residents engaged in thousands of hours of planning on how to rebuild the Mid-City neighborhood after it was devastated by flooding. The process generated several documents which you can access via the following links.
- Mid-City Recovery Plan, written entirely by Mid-City residents, rather than professional planners
- Mid-City Neighborhood Rebuilding Plan [PDF, 15.6 MB, 28 pages in 11" by 17" format] This document draws heavily upon the first document but was written by professional planners and was accepted by the New Orleans City Council. (Also known as the “Lambert Plan.”)
- Mid-City Neighborhood Rebuilding Plan Addendum [PDF, 44 KB, 12 pages] Addendum to the Lambert Plan by Mid-City residents who participated in the planning process.
- You can also download the Lambert Plan and the Addendum combined in a single document [PDF, 15.6 MB, 40 pages]
