Artists find a Muse in Mid-City: 2-12-2012

Traveling Artists, Tex Jernigan and Dominique Karwoski, come to Mid-City for an Interactive Valentines Installation

This Sunday, from 12:30 to dusk come out and participate in a Clothes Drive, Creative Construction, Valentines Photo Opportunity right here in Mid-City!

Details: Participants will bring old clothes – the more the better, and the more colorful the more better! Clothes will be organized by color and arranged a in giant heart on the shore of Bayou St. John. As the heart is being constructed and more clothes are brought in, participants will be photographed in the heart. Bring your old, colorful clothes and get your picture taken with your Valentine, your neighbor, your volleyball team, your dog, your hula hoop, whatever. Photos will be posted online for you to share, print, or paste to construction paper and send to your Valentine-to-be.

Here is a video where Tex and Dominique summarize the idea: Spread the Love in New Orleans. At the end of the video is a map.

So Come Out and Spread the Love, New Orleans.

See you there!

Wow that sounds awesome. You should find someone to barbecue slabs of heart-shaped meat for your event!
