The Mid-City Neighborhood Organization (MCNO) is proud to host the seventh annual Mid-City Porch Crawl, a delightfully eccentric, distinctly adult, Halloween-oriented celebration. This year’s event will be held at Redemption Mid-City (where the kick-off party will begin). What is more New Orleans than gathering on the front porch, the true foundation of any home in the city?
This signature event provides plenty of time for socializing, sipping and supping and gives you an opportunity to meet your neighbors and have a lot of fun while you show support for the community and its recognized booster organization. During the event, revelers will stroll the neighborhood, visiting beautiful and unique Mid-City porches. At each porch, they will socialize, sip cocktails, beer, and wine from local watering holes and sample culinary delights from classic Mid-City eateries. With a different drink and tasty treat on every porch, the evening will truly showcase the best of Mid-City.

Revelers are advised to purchase their tickets early as space will be limited. Advance tickets are $40 each for members, $50 each for non-members, and $25 each for designated drivers (designated driver tickets do not include alcohol). All tickets purchased on the day of the event will be an additional $10 each.

The MCNO Porch Crawl is our organization’s annual fundraiser and the primary source of funding for MCNO’s general operating costs and activities. MCNO also directs a substantial portion of Porch Crawl profits directly toward Mid-City community projects and non-profit organizations.

In previous years, projects that the Porch Crawl and its sponsors have funded include youth volleyball programs, Comisky Park improvements, planting of an Oak Tree on Bayou St. John, the Warren Easton High School Band, Mid-City New Orleans Library projects and more. This year, we have also used Porch Crawl funds to have the electrical boxes in Mid-City painted with beautiful murals proven to deter graffiti artists. The Porch Crawl also lets us apply for grants that we award to others. In the past few years, we directed an $85,000 grant towards the completion of the Lafitte Greenway, and applied for capacity building initiatives to help other non-profits. Your sponsorship funds these efforts.
